In the domain of statistics analysis, path analysis is an addition of the regression model. In a path analysis model from the correlation matrix, two or more informal models are compared.

In path analysis, the path of the model is depicted by a circle and an arrow, which explains the causation. In path analysis, regression weight is predicted by the model, and it is compared by the experimental correlation matrix. Then the goodness of fit statistic is computed in order to see the fitting of the model.
